Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop products related to the room-temperature storage and transport of nucleic acid
- Design and execute efficient experiments in support of product development, with minimal supervision.
- Analyze and present data in a concise and logical manner.
- Document work effectively to support IP.
- Provide support/data to marketing, manufacturing and engineering, as needed.
- Train and supervise staff as needed.
- Work with a team of scientists to meet company product development goals in timely and thorough fashion with attention to scientific detail and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Solid background in molecular biology, especially as it relates to DNA/RNA isolation and RT-PCR
- Product development experience is highly desirable
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to work at the bench.
- Extensive lab troubleshooting skills.
- Good statistical analysis experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- PhD degree in molecular biology with > 5 years industry experience.
