Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop products related to the room-temperature storage and transport of nucleic acid   
  • Design and execute efficient experiments in support of product development, with minimal supervision.
  • Analyze and present data in a concise and logical manner.
  • Document work effectively to support IP.
  • Provide support/data to marketing, manufacturing and engineering, as needed.
  • Train and supervise staff as needed.
  • Work with a team of scientists to meet company product development goals in timely and thorough fashion with attention to scientific detail and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in molecular biology, especially as it relates to DNA/RNA isolation and RT-PCR 
  • Product development experience is highly desirable
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to work at the bench.
  • Extensive lab troubleshooting skills.
  • Good statistical analysis experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • PhD degree in molecular biology with > 5 years industry experience.
